Everything your shop needs to quote faster

Tiento Quote connects your 3D model files to a baseline estimate or activated calibration, with visible review context for customer-facing quotes.

How it works

1

Upload a STEP file

Tiento accepts STEP and STP files — the standard exchange format supported by SolidWorks, CATIA, Fusion 360, FreeCAD, and most other CAD tools. Supported single-part files run automatically; large assemblies or files outside the automatic tier route to manual review.

2

Geometric feature detection runs automatically

A topology analysis engine reads the B-rep (boundary representation) of your part. It identifies machined features by their geometry: cylindrical holes are classified by whether they're through or blind, their diameter, depth-to-diameter ratio, and whether they have counterbores or countersinks. Pockets are detected by their containment geometry. Material is cross-referenced for density and machinability.

3

Your pricing model is applied

The detected features feed into the active estimate source. Cold-start workshops use the Tiento baseline estimate; activated calibrations use reviewed historical jobs. The quote UI and PDF keep that source visible.

4

DFM issues are flagged

In parallel with pricing, a DFM check runs across the detected features. It surfaces issues that may affect machinability: holes too deep for their diameter, features that require tool changes or custom tooling, wall thicknesses that may cause vibration. Each issue is shown as preview guidance with a severity level and an explanation.

5

Quote is ready to review and export

The quote summary shows detected features, per-feature pricing breakdown, DFM status, quantity multiplier, and total price. You can annotate or override any feature before exporting a draft or customer-facing PDF. Saved annotations can become part defaults for later quote review.

All the tools in one place

Each feature is designed around the real workflow of a CNC machining workshop.

3D model analysis

Upload STEP or STP files for the automatic analysis tier. The geometry engine reads supported single-part models directly and detects holes, counterbores, countersinks, blind holes, pockets, slots, and outer profile automatically. Large assemblies route to manual review.

Your shop's own pricing model

Tiento starts with a baseline estimate, then can activate a calibrated model from reviewed historical jobs. Calibration status stays visible so baseline quotes are not confused with shop-history pricing.

DFM analysis included

DFM preview flags are shown as review guidance — holes too deep for their diameter, features too close to walls, non-standard diameters — without claiming those notes affect the priced total today.

Interactive 3D viewer

Review detected features visually before accepting a quote. The 3D viewer overlays each detected hole, pocket, and slot on the part geometry. Saved annotations become review inputs and part defaults; they are not automatic live model updates.

PDF quote export

Generate draft or customer-facing PDF quotes when the quote state, assumptions, and estimate source are clear. Quote documents include part name, detected features, quantity, material, and price.

Multi-user and multi-tenant

Each workshop is fully isolated. Your pricing data, historical parts, and model coefficients are private to your account. Multiple users per shop are supported — useful for sales, engineering, and management accessing the same tool.
